Couple of beautifully carved protective African Pygmy statues or fetishes from Cameroon, adorned with tiny bead necklaces.

Rare matching pair with a lovely dark patina. Male is slightly larger than the female. Pygmy figures are always depicted standing on squat legs with over-sized heads and large eyes carved in relief. Long fingers rest on each side of the belly or chest.

These figures are in excellent vintage condition. Show signs of age. No wood loss.
