Shipping policy

All orders are processed within 2 to 3 business days (excluding weekends and holidays) after receiving your order confirmation email. You will receive another notification when your order has shipped. 

We will contact you immediately if your parcel will be delayed due to circumstances that are outside of our control such as postal service strikes or high volume of orders.

In-store pickup

You can skip the shipping fees with free local pickup at Afrahouse 2 Haddo Street, Greenwich. SE10 9RN. After placing your order and selecting local pickup at checkout, your order will be prepared and ready for pick up within 1 to 2 business days. We will send you an email when your order is ready along with instructions.

Our gallery is open by appointment only. Please book a Collection Appointment on our website to pick up your item. We always have a range of time slots available. Please have your order confirmation email with you when you come.

International Shipping

We offer international shipping to most destinations.

If your order does not have delivery options at checkout, you may reside in a country that we do not currently ship to at this time. Please send us a message to receive a shipping quotation.

Your order may be subject to import duties and taxes (including VAT), which are incurred once a shipment reaches your destination country. Afrahouse Ltd is not responsible for these charges if they are applied and are your responsibility as the customer.

How do I check the status of my order?

When your order has shipped, you will receive an email notification from us which will include a tracking number you can use to check its status. Please allow 48 hours for the tracking information to become available.

If you haven’t received your order within 7 working days of receiving your shipping confirmation email, please contact us at Info@afrahouse.com with your name and order number, and we will look into it for you.

Shipping to P.O. boxes

Our carriers have limitations around shipping to P.O. Boxes. Orders without a street address may experience delays are not covered by service guarantees which may result in cancellation and refund.

Refunds, returns, and exchanges

Conditions of return (summary)

  • Buyer can return or exchange an item
  • Buyer must return item within 30 days of collection or delivery
  • Buyer is responsible for return postage costs
  • Buyer is responsible for loss in value if an item isn’t returned in original condition


We accept returns up to 30 days after delivery, if the item is not damaged and in its original condition and packaging, and we will refund the full order amount minus the return shipping costs if a request is made for us to organise return shipping.

In the event that your order arrives damaged in any way, please email us as soon as possible at Info@afrahouse.com with your order number and a photo of the item’s condition. We address these on a case-by-case basis but will try our best to work towards a satisfactory solution.
